Circle Systems (“us”, “we”, or “our”) operates the stattransfer.com website and develops and markets Stat/Transfer software (hereinafter referred to as the “Service”).

User Data are the actual data that transfered from one format to another using Stat/Transfer software. For example, when a Stata file is moved to a SPSS file, the numbers, strings and such metadata as value and variable labels are user data.
Usage Data are data collected automatically either generated by the use of the Service or from the Service infrastructure itself (for example, the duration of a page visit).
Cookies are small files stored on your device (computer or mobile device).
Data Controller means the natural or legal person who (either alone or jointly or in common with other persons) determines the purposes for which and the manner in which any personal information are, or are to be, processed. Stst/Transfer is always installed on the user's personal computer or network server. It is never accessed on a server that is under our control. We cannot and will not transmit, examine, or store the actual user data that you transfer. Therefore the security of these data are entirely under your control

We may also collect information on how the Service is accessed and used (“Usage Data”). This Usage Data may include information such as your computer’s Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address), browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.

Usage Data from Stat/Transfer Software

Stat/Transfer’s activation system uses a machine identifier which is sent to our servers in the form of a one-way hash. This technique identifies the unique characteristics of a computer, but does not allow us, or anyone else to decode what those characteristics are. Also, by default, the software will send data on software usage, including the formats transferred, the number of cases and variables and the time the transfers took. These data are used by us to set our development priorities in accordance with the ways in which our software is actually used. These data are identified by a one-way hash that makes it impossible to identify the individual user of the software or the machine being used. Thus neither we nor anyone else can identify individual software users or their usage patterns. However, if you wish, you can opt out of this data collection by setting the appropriate option in the Stat/Transfer program.

Tracking & Cookies Data

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track the activity on our Service and we hold certain information.
